The Internet
A world of information and Google brought you to the doorways of where you wanted to go.
A New Frontier
When the internet first came into being it was a new frontier and there was much excitement to be a part of it.
As time went on the creative energies of many were focused on bringing into existance their dreams of what they imagined the internet could be. Many people had their own personal websites containing knowledge of what they had passion for.
There was a time when Google had pretty much perfected their search engine / database system. It could literally provide you with the exact tidbit of info you were looking for from those unique websites. You’d swear it could almost read your mind.

The Change
Unfortunately things change. The driving force of development became commerce. Search engines began providing lists based in terms of algorithms and calculated results to promote sales. The internet, or more properly your internet search engine, became more like going to the mall.
It’s not entirely anyone’s fault, really. With the advent of social media platforms people, in general, migrated to things like Facebook for its ease of use in making-having their own page on the net. In so doing drifted away from creating their own websites.
Being Relevant
Most people don’t realize (or likely didn’t notice) that their ‘favorite’ platforms began implementing algorithms and calculating results to promote items which make people inflamed, outraged, or whatever it takes, for the purpose of getting them to contribute and keep coming back.
If you pause and reflect on what you’ve been clicking and posting, are you certain it’s the direction you intended when you first re-visited the site? Are you doing what you set out to do? Are you accomplishing anything tangible?
Stop consuming media and start creating.
Let creation determine consumption.
